For best acceptance, introduce Bio-Serv's placebo or MD Tablets 1-2 days prior to surgery. Feed one MD tablet per rat per day to provide the daily medication dose and nutritional supplement. Place tablets at cage floor level for ease of access by the animal. Standard feed should remain in feed hopper.
Rat MDs Baytril, Rimadyl
Baytril is an effective antibiotic drug and Rimadyl an effective anti-inflammatory drug. Both of these drugs are used for treating a variety of species including rodents. MDs are highly palatable and encourage appetite post-operatively. Ultimately, promoting a more rapid recovery versus other conventional methods. These tablets are an ideal pain-free alternative to stressful and injurious post-operative injections. Additionally, the Baytril and Rimadyl combination MDs allow for the administration of both medications easily and affordably.
